Thousands of seafood lovers of all ages poured into the industrial landscape of Port Chalmers for the 2013 Seafood Festival on Saturday. A carnival atmosphere abounded with many expressing their inner pirate. Local restaurants, shops and fundraisers vied to tempt us with their creative take on seafood and other delicacies such as deep fried camembert and Spanish doughnuts. Locally renowned chefs wowed us with their culinary skills and there were plenty of activities to keep the children happy!
